Dear Friend,
As you know, Bob Barker, longtime supporter of the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley (HSSBV) signed off each day on The Price is Right saying, “This is Bob Barker, reminding you to help control the pet population- have your pets spayed and neutered!”
We are excited to continue our work fighting pet overpopulation and honoring Mr. Barker and his vision at the same time. Started by a thoughtful donation from Mr. Barker’s estate, the HSSBV is kicking off the “Spay It Forward in honor of Bob Barker” Fund!This fund will be used to help pet parents with financial assistance to spay and neuter their companion animals.
We hope you will join us in honoring Mr. Barker’s memory with a donation to this fund. Our goal is to reach $15,000 by the end of May. As you know, the HSSBV offers a variety of assistance programs from generous grants throughout the year. These grants are invaluable, but there is often gap time between grant opportunities. This fund will continue to create year round assistance for pet owners… eliminating costs as one of the reasons/excuses not to spay/neuter a pet.
You are also welcome and encourage to create your own fundraising page and collect donations in memory of Mr. Barker for this fund!
